Foxgloves captures a garden at the transition from daylight to dusk, with tall rose pink and soft mauve flowers standing against the fading light. Bumblebees and moths move amongst the blooms, reflecting the importance of planting to support pollinators and the quiet activity that continues in a garden as evening approaches.
I was drawn to the changing light and the contrast between the vibrant foxgloves and the softer colours of the evening sky. Built up with dots of colour, the flowers and foliage gradually emerge through layers of light and shade, creating a rich surface with a sense of depth and movement.
