Coastal Shoreline captures the colours and textures found at the water's edge, where pink-hued rocks sit amongst vibrant green seaweed. I was drawn to the unexpected richness of colour in this small area of the shoreline and the contrast between the softer pinks of the rocks and the intense greens surrounding them.
Painted in my signature pointillist style, thousands of individual dots build the changing colours, textures and light across the surface. The close-up composition focuses attention on the smaller details of the shoreline, revealing the beauty that can be found in an easily overlooked part of the coastal landscape.
