Looking out from the northern coast of the Isle of Arran, Beyond the Blue captures that extraordinary sense of distance where sea, land and sky seem to dissolve into one another.
Across the water, the distant shores of the Mull of Kintyre and Loch Fyne emerge through layers of shifting blue, softened by the changing light and atmosphere. Thousands of individual dots of colour build the landscape gradually, creating depth and movement while echoing the fleeting reflections of light across the sea.
There is a quietness to this view, but also a sense of possibility — the feeling of looking beyond the immediate landscape towards something distant and unknown.
