Inspired by the coastline of Kefalonia, Coastal Flora captures the wild plants growing along the edge of the beach as daylight begins to fade. Beyond the planting, a narrow strip of blue sea meets the horizon, with the full moon rising into the evening sky.
I was drawn to the contrast between the detail and colour of the coastal plants in the foreground and the simplicity of the distant sea and sky. The changing light at dusk softens the landscape, creating a quiet sense of space and stillness.
